Why is organic cotton used only in the top layer and not in all other layers?

Organic cotton is excellent for skin comfort, but on its own it is not sufficient to provide the high absorbency and leak protection required in sanitary products. Certain materials, such as super absorbent polymers (SAP) and the polyethylene (PE) back sheet, are essential for delivering strong performance, reliable protection, and continuous comfort.
